Soraya Gage
Executive Producer

PhotoSoraya Gage is a 20-year veteran of NBC News. From her start as a NBC page, through her rise from associate producer to senior producer, she has worked on major NBC News broadcasts including Nightly News, Dateline, and TODAY. In 2009, Soraya became the Executive Producer of NBC Learn, with responsibility for all editorial content and content partnerships. Presently, she oversees content production for www.nbclearn.com.

Mark Miano
Senior Producer

PhotoMark Miano started at NBC News in 2000, producing and writing long-form documentaries for such clients as the Discovery Channel, A&E, Court TV and National Geographic. He has also worked at ABC News, Bloomberg Television, WPIX-TV, The MacNeil/Lehrer Newshour, The New York Observer, and is the author of three crime novels.

Beth Nissen
Senior Producer

PhotoBeth Nissen is a veteran news, war, science and arts correspondent who has worked in almost every form of the news media extant: newspapers (The Wall Street Journal), newsmagazines (Newsweek), network television (ABC News World News Tonight and Nightline), cable news (CNN NewsNight with Aaron Brown), online (CNN.com), and public television (WGBH-Nova Science Now). At NBC Learn, she oversees the selection and production of archival and original content for 11 Science collections, and Language Arts.

Norman Cohen
Producer

PhotoNorman has been at NBC Learn since 2006. At NBC Learn, he creates video collections, writes and produces original documentaries, produces live town halls with NBC Learn's partners, and oversees educational outreach projects. Norman's background is in historical documentary production. He got his start working for filmmaker Ric Burns on his PBS series "The Way West," and worked for over 15 years as an associate producer, producer and writer on documentaries for the History Channel, A&E and the National Geographic Channel.

Christopher Tiné
Producer

PhotoChris joined the team in 2007 and has worked on content, product development, marketing and strategy for NBC Learn. Before joining NBC, Chris produced shows for PBS, the BBC, Discovery, Travel Channel, and TLC. Chris has a B.A. in Rhetoric from Bates College and is completing an MBA at Columbia Business School.

Bryan Kohl
Editor

PhotoBryan Kohl has worked in video post-production since 1998, with experience in broadcast television, feature films, and documentary and educational video. He has been an Editor at NBC Learn since 2007.

Stephen Anderson
Associate Producer

PhotoStephen has been writing and producing content for NBC Learn since 2007. His career began in television sales and media relations at the CBS and ABC television affiliates in Seattle. He then wrote and produced nonfiction programming for the Discovery Channel, A&E, TLC, and HGTV. He has also produced segments for Daily Cafe, an NBC News program on Retirement Living TV, and worked as an assignment editor for theGrio.com. A native of New Hampshire, Stephen graduated from Sarah Lawrence College with a B.A. in Liberal Arts.

Adam Desiderio
Associate Producer

PhotoAdam produces content for the NBC Learn site. Born and raised in central New Jersey, Adam received a bachelor's degree from Seton Hall University and is currently working towards a master's in broadcast journalism from Columbia University.

Caleb Medders
Associate Producer

PhotoCaleb is originally from Pittsfield, Massachusetts and went to school at Berkshire Community College and then to film school at New York University. He has a background in documentary filmmaking and enjoys topics related to American history and film.

Ellen Rose
Associate Producer

PhotoEllen is an original member of the NBC Learn production team. She began her career as a CNN intern while studying Journalism and Spanish at Miami University. She was the digital producer/editor for the NBC Vancouver Olympics mobile site and iPhone application. At NBC Learn, she has produced content for the English Language, Global Studies and Science collections, including original videos for Chemistry Now. She is originally from Atlanta, GA and currently lives in New York City.

Bonny Scheltema
Associate Producer

PhotoBonny writes and produces educational and documentary videos for the NBC Learn website. Before joining NBC News, she worked for AETN and in the arts sector.

Niki Budnick
Assistant Producer

PhotoNiki has been a member of the NBC Learn team since 2008. She began her career as an intern for Late Night with Conan O'Brien while studying Television Production at SUNY New Paltz in upstate New York. Niki made the transition into news media with NBC Learn and has thrived. Now, she is lead producer for our In The News collection as well as the face behind NBC Learn's Twitter and Facebook pages. Niki also acts as Assistant Editor to the postproduction team and is involved with many of our special collections projects, notably Chemistry Now, Science of the NFL and Science of the Winter Olympic Games. She currently lives in Brooklyn, New York.

Carol Aerenson
Archivist

PhotoCarol joined NBC in 1971 where she was a production assistant on NBC News documentaries. She then was a researcher in the NBC News Archives department, researching daily for Today, Nightly News, Dateline, NBC News specials, WNBC and other programs. Carol took early retirement in 2005, but was called back in 2006 where she was thrilled to come to NBC Learn to put her knowledge and memory of NBC's archives to use again for a new generation to enjoy and learn from.

Michael Levin
Director of Sales and Technical Operations

PhotoMichael is responsible for all aspects of NBC Learn service delivery to its customers. Michael attended Pennsylvania State University and graduated with a B.S. in Management Science & Information Systems.

Cara Doronila
Account Manager

PhotoCara provides customer and sales support, as well as coordinates the marketing needs of NBC Learn. Before joining the team, Cara worked in the fashion industry, dabbling in PR and print ad campaigns. She hails from the great state of New Jersey, but is proud to call New York her new home. Cara graduated from Emerson College with a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism.

Caitlin Maloney
Internal Sales Coordinator

PhotoCaitlin is a proud California native who graduated from Stanford University in 2010 (Go Card!) with a major in International Relations. She joined the amazing NBC Learn team in December 2010 after starting at NBC News working on Education Nation in August 2010. Her favorite part of working at NBC Learn is hearing the excitement in a teacher's voice when they realize how revolutionary NBC Learn can be in the classroom!

Ari Oshinsky
Head of Front End Development

PhotoAri's responsibility in front-end development at NBC Learn includes Flash, Mobile development, HTML & CSS editing and Omniture analytics. His hobbies include reading and writing non-fiction works. In 2010 Ari read over 75 non-fiction books.

Sanjay Joshi
Technical Leader

PhotoSanjay brings over a decade of experience in design, development, architecture and technical leadership in web applications platforms. His role at NBC learn is to design, architect integration strategies with third party LMS and applications. He also contributes to other functionalities of NBC Learn. Sanjay has his Masters in computer science from India.

Ritesh Rathore
Software Consultant

PhotoRitesh's role at NBC Learn is to help create architecture and design of software components. He has over 10 years of consulting experience in e-commerce applications, portal architecture and software development processes in wide variety of industries. His interests include security, administration and performance of web applications. Ritesh received his master's degree in Electronics Engineering from University of Pune, India.

Kalam Shaik

PhotoKalam has worked with the NBC Learn Technology Team for more than 4 years. Kalam is responsible for overseeing the administration of NBC Learn Technology systems.
