Tom Brokaw Documentary, “Their Finest Hour,” Available on NBC Learn Until May 31, 2013
For a limited time, NBC Learn has been granted access to “Their Finest Hour,” a Tom Brokaw documentary that explores the debt Americans, and the world, owe to the British people for their incredible resolve during World War II.
"Their Finest Hour" was shot across Britain in London, Dover, Coventry, Portsmouth, Bladon and Cambridge over the course of two years. Assistants to the producers engaged in a worldwide search for supporting archival footage. In particular, with more than 25 different sources, the documentary uses a vast amount of recently discovered color film footage of the period that had been forgotten for decades.
This documentary originally premiered during NBC’s coverage of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London as a tribute to the host country, Great Britain. Through a special arrangement, the documentary is available on NBC Learn’s websites until May 31, 2013.
