This Parent Toolkit video offers simple tips to get kids involved in helping out around the house and ease day-to-day stress.

I’m Too Busy!

PETER ALEXANDER, reporting:

We’ve all been there. Frazzled, frantic, stressed, trying to get everything done around the home, family fed, and work finished. Did you know with a few simple parent hacks you can help ease day-to-day stress? Kids as young as 3 can help out around the home, and kids of all ages thrive when they feel useful and needed, so have each kid take on a task or two. Folding towels, setting the table, or helping with dishes are all kid-friendly jobs. You can make it fun by having a chore wheel that changes each week, or make a friendly competition. First one to finish gets to choose a game to play. When you divide the work, you’ll feel less worried and better able to enjoy your family.
